Let’s be clear your value is not what others think! Your value is defined by what you think of yourself. The world will tell many of us we are not good enough and it is up to us as individuals to know that we are. We all have our good days and bad days however we should strive to know our value to have self worth and good self-esteem. When you know what makes you valuable you know what you bring to the table. Value shows light of your usefulness worth and contribution. This is very powerful and when one knows their value it’s hard to take them down. However when we lack knowing our impact we open up ourselves to being used, mistreated, and low self-esteem. How do we discover our value and maintain understanding and knowing our value?
1. Gain Clarity
Take the time out to identify your strengths and write them down, reflect on situations when you used these strengths and the impact you made.
2. Take Care of Yourself Eat well, sleep well, and drink lots water. Get plenty of exercise and utilize your self care tool box
3. Affirm Yourself
Speak positive of yourself and encourage yourself through your situation.
4. Be Self-Aware
Acknowledge and be proud of your strengths nut also accept your weakness. These weaknesses don’t diminish your value especially when you make a goal to work toward strengthening it.
5. Set Boundaries
You are nobody’s lap dog. Use your words when you are overwhelmed or depleted. It is okay to say “No!”
